Woven Mug in Lichen- Handmade to Order

      Each of these hand thrown and carved pottery mugs measure approx 4" and comfortably hold 16 oz. These lovely mugs are hand thrown on the pottery wheel from a durable stoneware clay in Burnsville North Carolina. The mugs are hand carved in our woven pattern and trimmed, then a handle pulled and thumb rest placed to ensure it fits your hand perfectly. This mug is then glazed in our Lichen glaze which has an amazing soft green color and shows the carvings well. The bottom is signed and dated, then polished smooth.

As with all handmade pottery expect slight variation in color and size.

All of our stoneware pottery is fully functional for daily use, food safe, as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.

Our goal as craftspeople is to make functional pottery mugs that people can have a personal relationship with. When you're drinking from a handmade mug that feels good in your hand, you will get an understanding of the relationship that you would not be getting from one churned out of a factory.
