San San Kudo Sake Set in Slate Blue - Handmade to Order

        This seven piece San San Kudo Sake set is hand thrown on the pottery wheel with a durable stoneware clay. This San San kudo wedding ceremony set is glazed in our Slate blue, with colored glass in the bottoms of the cups.

This is a modern take on a traditional san san kudo wedding ceremony set. San-San-Kudo literally means “three, three, nine times.” The bride and groom take turns taking three sips each of three different bowls of sake, each one larger than the next. Three is an indivisible number, and it is considered a sacred number in Buddhism. By exchanging the nuptial sake sips—three times three—husband and wife are united.

The pitcher is approx. 6.5"H.

And two that are approx. 2.5"W

All of our pottery is fully functional for daily use, lead free, non toxic and food safe, as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.

As with all handmade pottery slight variation in color and size may occur.
