A quaich or Loving cup is a small bowl with two handles or two knobs, dating back to Scotland. This traditional Scottish drinking vessel was used in weddings and ceremonies to drink from. A quaich was also used to offer a guest a cup of welcome and also as a farewell drink, usually a dram of whiskey. Our quaichs are hand thrown on the pottery wheel from a durable stoneware clay. This quaich's beautiful Turquoise glaze cascades into the bowl and is a perfect fit.
Our quaichs measures approx. 5"W (7" including handles) and holds 8-10 oz.
All of our stoneware pottery quaich's are fully functional, is food safe, as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.
All of our pottery here in our shop has been handmade by husband and wife potters JR and Kristen Page in the mountains of North Carolina. Handmade to order, may take 3-6 weeks to complete.
Gift wrapping is available upon request for no additional charge.
