There have been some inquiries of the girl behind the hair that is a part of Page Pottery. What mindboggling creativity and personality that she gives to each and every piece of work. Her Raku pieces are unlike any other, often surpassing what most conceive of when we think of pottery. It’s inspiring to be able to work with Kristen as well as have her as a part of my life.

Me and Kristen had the great pleasure of spending last weekend in Winston Salem, NC at the Sawtooth Art Center, for a weekend workshop with Lowfire Legends, Linda and Charlie Riggs. I have to say how great everything was!We learned so much about making the kind of pots we love to make the most; Raku and sagger. This has just fueled our ravenous thirst for smoke and fire. The Riggs are an inspiring couple like ourselves, who like to fire much in the manner we do. It was good to see them having as much fun as we do with life as well as the Raku and low fire process.

Here is my first full line of dinnerware. Each piece is one of a kind, made by hand from a white stoneware. This clay allows for my glazes to be distinct and with careful firing, form microcrystalline patterns. It will exclusively be avalible in Asheville at the Gallery of the Mountains located in the GrovePark Inn.
